What's New in Scopus?

Welcome to the Scopus online tutorial series.

This tutorial highlights the new feature/function enhancements which are now available in Scopus.

In the Search area, we have added a new searchable field, First Author.

Now you can easily retrieve articles in which a specific author name appears first in the article citation.

We have also enhanced the author and affiliation information when it is exported in the spreadsheet format.

Now, when you select Comma separated file, .cvs as your Export format, and you select an Output which includes both the Authors field and the Affiliation field, the information exported includes a new Authors with affiliations field in addition to the Authors and Affiliation fields.

When an article has multiple authors, the Authors with affiliations field ties each author to their associated affiliations.

Now, let's look at an addition to Scopus Analytics.

We have added the % Not Cited chart to the Journal Analyzer tool.

The % Not Cited chart shows the percentage of the articles in a journal that have not been cited in other articles.

You can place your cursor on a data point to display an explanation of the information.

You can review the % Not Cited information in a table format.

Another enhancement to the Journal Analyzer tool is the new e-mail feature.

Now you can send your journal analysis results to an associate or to your alternate e-mail address.

Skip navigation links are available at the top of the Author search results page.
