Scopus Results Tabs

Return to Scopus Results

Your Scopus search is also run on Scopus references, the Web using Scirus search, and patent information. Each set of results is shown on a separate tab: Scopus, More, Web, Patents, or SelectedSources.

Select a tab to see results from a different data set. For example, to see results from your search found on Scirus, click the Web tab. See Refining Search Results for more information.

Note: The Web, Patents, or SelectedSources tabs only display if your account settings permit Web or patent searching.

	The Scopus tab displays all results found within Scopus. You can refine your Scopus results list by using Source Title, Author Name, Year, Document Type, Subject Area, Keyword, Language, Source Type, and Affiliation check boxes.

	The More tab displays references from Scopus documents that match your search query. For some references, a citation is available on Scopus, but the complete document is not. As a result, limited Scopus functionality is available for these citations. Non-Scopus citations display in gray text and are indicated by . You can refine your More results list by using the Source Title, Author Name, Year check boxes.

	The Web tab displays all results found on Scirus, Elsevier's science-specific search engine. The default sort order for Web results is Sort by Relevance. Results may also be sorted by date (descending or ascending) by clicking on the Date column header. You can refine your Web results list by using the Content Source, Information Type, and Keywords check boxes. Click the More results from this site link to display more results based on a search conducted from Scirus. The new results will open in a new browser window. Note: The Information Type column only includes records that have an Information Type that is defined in Scopus, so the total number of records in this column may not match the number given on the Web tab.

	The Patents tab displays all available patent results when you conduct a basic, advanced, author, or quick search. The default sort order for Patents is Document (Sort by Relevance). Similar to the Web tab, results can be sorted by date (descending or ascending) by clicking on the Date column header. You can refine your Patents results list by using the Patent Office and Keywords check boxes.

	The SelectedSources tab displays results from a specific Scirus special source. Your library administrator can define the source (or combination of sources) as well as the label for the tab name. You can refine your selected sources results by using the Content Source, Information Type, and Keywords check boxes.
