Search History

The Search History list, located below the search form, includes your searches from the current research session. The list displays the most recent search first. For each search, Search History includes the search terms and the number of search results.

From Search History, you can do the following:

View Search Results Click the number in the Results column to view the search results again.
Run a Combined Search Use the Combine box to run multiple searches listed in Search History as a single search. You can use the AND, OR and AND NOT operators with a combined search.

To combine searches, enter the Search History list number associated with each search and connect them with operators. To run the combined search, click Go button.

Example    To find documents the meet the search criteria of both search #1 and search #2, but exclude any documents that meet the search criteria of search #3, enter:

(#1 AND #2)AND NOT #3.

Modify a Search
  1. Click the Edit link associated with the search.

    The original search form appears where you can edit the search.

  2. When you are done editing the search, click Search button to run it.

    The new search will appear in Search History.

Delete a Search To delete individual searches:
  1. Click the check boxes next to the searches you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete button.

To delete all searches:

Click Clear History button.

Set up an Alert To set up an e-mail alert for a search, click the Set alert link.
Create an RSS Feed Click RSS to create an RSS feed for a search.
