Welcome to the Scopus help. Before using the online help, here are a few points to remember. The Scopus help uses different features for displaying information.
| Links: | Links are used to move to and from additional help topic pages that have related information. |
| Table of Contents: | The Scopus help provides a Table of Contents, which is a summary of topics arranged by category. A table of contents provides a hierarchical view of all Scopus help topics. It is located on the left side of the viewer or browser, grouped with other navigation panes, such as Index and Search. Book icons represent categories for organizing help topics, and page icons represent help topic page. |
| Forward/Back Buttons: | The Forward and Back buttons are used to browse forward or backward among Scopus help pages. |
| Index: | Also included within the Web Application online help is an index, which allows you to search for information. The Web Application Index allows quick access to the information you need by clicking on a keyword and seeing the corresponding topic display. You can navigate the Index by using the scroll bar to browse through index keywords, or you may enter a term to have corresponding keywords display within the Index tab. |
| Search: | The Web application online help includes a Search tab that provides a way to explore the
content of individual help topics and locates matches to your queries.
For Example: If you enter the term article within the search entry field and click the Go button. All help topics that list the term will display within the Search tab. Then, once a help topic is located, you can click on the help topic title within the Search tab and the help topic page will display. |
| Glossary: | The online glossary provides a list of terms and definitions related for use within Scopus. When you access the glossary, click a term in the top pane and see a corresponding definition in the lower pane. Terms are always listed alphabetically in the top pane of the Glossary. |
