To enable RefWorks features in Scopus, you can use your Athens login or enter your RefWorks user information in Scopus. Entering this information will enable the following:
The
icon will show which Scopus documents are stored in your personal RefWorks database. (If your institute is entitled to this service.)
Scopus will automatically log you in when you export documents to RefWorks.
| Note | Your RefWorks user information or Athens login will only be used to authenticate you as a RefWorks user. You will not be logged in to RefWorks. To enable RefWorks features in Scopus, you must enter your RefWorks information or use your Athens login. |

Click My Profile on the navigation bar, and then click RefWorks Settings.
To enter your RefWorks user information in Scopus, complete the following required fields:
RefWorks Group Code : Enter your RefWorks Group Code (if the field is empty).
RefWorks Username: Enter your RefWorks login name.
RefWorks Password: Enter your RefWorks password.
Note To use RefWorks with Scopus, your RefWorks Username, Password, and Group Code should only contain characters from a standard English keyboard. In addition, your Group Code should not contain any spaces or periods (.).
Clear Show which Scopus documents are already in my RefWorks database, if you do not want the RefWorks icon to display for documents that are already stored in your RefWorks personal database.
To remove your RefWorks information from Scopus, click Clear my RefWorks settings from Scopus.

Click Submit to modify your profile. Your information will be authenticated with RefWorks before being saved.
OR
Click Cancel to return to the My Profile page without submitting your changes.
If you have logged in to Scopus using Athens, you can choose to access RefWorks using your Athens information.

Click My Profile on the navigation bar, and then click RefWorks Settings.
To use your Athens information to access RefWorks, select Use Athens to access my RefWorks account.
| Note | You must be logged in to Scopus using Athens for this option to display. |
Clear Show which Scopus documents are already in my RefWorks database, if you do not want the RefWorks icon to display for documents that are already stored in your RefWorks personal database.
Click Submit to modify your profile. Your Athens information will be authenticated with RefWorks before being saved.
OR
Click Cancel to return to the My Profile page without submitting your changes.
After you have saved your RefWorks information in Scopus, you can:
Change how you access RefWorks from Scopus
Edit your RefWorks user information in Scopus
| Note | Changing your RefWorks information in Scopus will not modify your RefWorks username or password in RefWorks. To change your RefWorks username or password, you must log in to RefWorks. |
Remove RefWorks user information from Scopus
| Note | If you are already on the RefWorks Settings page, skip to step 2. |
Click My Profile on the navigation bar, and then click RefWorks Settings.
To edit the RefWorks Group Code field:
Enter a new RefWorks Group Code.
| Note | Your RefWorks Group Codes must not contain any spaces or periods (.). |
OR
If the Group Code has been filled in but is not enable, click Change Group Code , and then enter a new RefWorks Group Code.

To access RefWorks using your RefWorks user information, click Use RefWorks Username and Password to access my RefWorks account.
Edit the following fields as needed:
RefWorks Username: Edit your RefWorks login name.
RefWorks Password: Edit your RefWorks password.
To access RefWorks using your Athens credentials, click Use Athens to access my RefWorks account.

To remove your RefWorks information from Scopus, click Clear my RefWorks settings from Scopus.
| Note | This option only displays if you have saved a RefWorks username, password, and Group Code in Scopus. |
Clear Show which Scopus documents are already in my RefWorks database, if you do not want the RefWorks icon to display with document citations that are already stored in your RefWorks personal database.
Click Submit to modify your profile. Your RefWorks or Athens information will be authenticated with RefWorks before being saved.
OR
Click Cancel to return to the My Profile page without submitting your changes.
You can remove your RefWorks information from Scopus on the RefWorks Settings page.
When you remove your RefWorks information, Scopus will no longer:
Display the RefWorks icon with document citations that are already stored in your RefWorks personal database
Automatically log in when you export to RefWorks from Scopus

Click My Profile on the navigation bar, and then click RefWorks Settings.
To remove your RefWorks user information from Scopus, click Clear my RefWorks settings from Scopus.
| Note | This option only displays if you have entered a RefWorks username, password, and Group Code in Scopus. |
Click Submit to remove your RefWorks user information from Scopus. Your RefWorks information will be deleted immediately, and all RefWorks features in Scopus will be disabled.
OR
Click Cancel to return to the My Profile page without submitting your changes.
