| Note | If there are parameters you want to include in your search that are not available on the Basic Search form, click the Advanced Search tab. Any information you have entered on the Basic Search form will appear on the Advanced Search form. |
Type a search term or phrase in the first text box.
Using the first drop-down list, specify which field the term should appear in.
NotesThe following fields are available: Article Title, Abstract, Keywords; All Fields; Authors; Source Title; Article Title; Abstract; Keywords; Affiliation; Language; ISSN; CODEN; DOI; References; Conference; Article Title, Abstract, Keywords, Authors; First Author.

If you select the Authors field, the Show: Authors option appears. Select it to search for authors using the Scopus Author Identifier. The Make Author Selection page will appear.
If you select the Affiliation field, the Show: Affiliations option appears. Select it to search for affiliations using the Scopus Affiliation Identifier. The Make Affiliation Selection page will appear.
Note The Show: options appear only if you have JavaScript™ enabled in your browser. Otherwise, you may want to search using the Author Search or Affiliation Search tab.
You can select different fields for each text box. For example, you can use one to search for an author's name, and the other for keywords.
If you use both text boxes, select a Boolean operator from the drop-down list provided.
| AND | Results must contain the terms as specified in both text boxes. |
| OR | Results must contain the terms as specified in at least one of the text boxes. |
| AND NOT | Results must contain the terms as specified in the first text box but not the second. |
| Note | You can also use operators by typing them into the text entry box. If you enter more than one word or phrase in the same text entry field without using an operator, AND will be assumed. |
Use the Date Range options to limit your search to a certain time period. Select one of the following:
Added to Scopus in the last n days: Limit your search to documents that have been added to Scopus in the last 7, 14, or 30 days.
Use the Document Type list to limit your search to a specific type of document, such as reviews or conference papers.
Select one or more Subject Areas to limit your search to certain subject areas.
Tip |
To view a list of subjects covered in a Subject Area category, place your mouse on the subject area name. A pop-up window appears, listing all of the subjects in that category.  |
Click Search to perform your search.
