Use Author Search to find work by a single author.
Author Search returns a list of names that match your search criteria.
The Make Author Selection page provides links to documents written by a specific author, to information about an author, and to the Citation Tracker, so you can track citations for an author. For more information, see Scopus Author Identifier.
Include initials to narrow your search. The more initials you add, the more specific your search becomes.
Start with a surname. You can then narrow your choices by picking names from the Make Author Selection page or from the Refine Results list (Basic and Advanced Search).
Expand surnames and initials to help find an author.
Enter affiliation information to narrow your author search.
Enter a surname and first name in the Basic Search field.
| Example | You can enter carrera, s in the Basic Search field to find all authors with a surname of Carrera and a first initial S. |
Use Basic or Advanced Search to find multiple authors or combine your author search with another search field.
| Note | Boolean and proximity operators cannot be used in Author Search, Basic Search, or in the Advanced Search AUTHOR-NAME field; however, you can use AND with Advanced Search if you repeat the AUTHOR-NAME field. To search for multiple authors using Basic Search, select Show: |
Combine searches using Search History.
If you know the unique author identifier number for a particular author, you can search for that author using the AU-ID field in Advanced Search.
| Tip | Unique author identifier numbers display at the top of an author search results list and on Author Details pages. |

You can find documents written by the most frequently occurring co-authors of a specific author from the Author Details page.
