Scopus secondary documents

Citation information for some documents is derived from Scopus reference lists. For some of these documents, known as secondary documents, limited functionality is available on Scopus. To view these non-Scopus references, click the View secondary documents link* above your search results. These documents are not available in the Scopus database but are extracted from references found in Scopus. These non-Scopus document titles appear in gray text and are indicated by .

Because many of these documents are not available on Scopus, you cannot open the document or view the abstract. For some secondary documents, only certain fields in the citation are available to search. For example, if you search the Abstract field, and an abstract is not available for the reference, that reference is not included in your search results.

*Once clicked, this link changes to Scopus documents allowing you to return to Scopus documents.
